Job description

Designs, codes, tests, and deploys software across all layers of the development life cycle. Provides necessary documentation. Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks, and various programming languages. Designs software code using multiple programming languages. Tests newly developed software code. Documents code per the company's processes. Mentors less experienced team members. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field plus 4 years of experience in IT or engineering environment.
• Alternatively, Master's degree in relevant field plus 2 years of experience.

Requirements:

• Experience developing responsive, user-friendly web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, JavaScript, NodeJS, focusing on performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Proficiency in developing Spring Boot microservices with RESTful APIs, Java 8+, Spring Boot framework.
• Ability to perform testing, bug fixing, deployment, and provide production support.
• Understanding of Git version control, project management, and SDLC processes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, integrating Git with SonarQube, Nexus, and automating testing and deployment.
• Proficiency in databases such as Oracle and MySQL, and Java Persistence APIs like JDBC and Hibernate.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and AWS.
• Proficiency in automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bash, and Shell scripting, and utilizing CloudBees.
• Strong communication skills.

Note: A related advanced degree may offset experience requirements. Employer accepts 1 year of related experience in lieu of 1 year of education. Position allows telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Plano, TX.
