Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a software engineer to design, code, test, and deploy software across all layers of the development life cycle. You will document work, work with databases, APIs, servers, networks, and various programming languages, and design software in multiple languages.

The role includes mentoring less‑senior engineers, performing other duties as assigned, and will be hybrid in Moon Township, PA, with occasional on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 2 years of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Requirements

As an equivalent alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 4 years of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The position requires experience with: IBM iSeries / AS400; RPG / CL Programming; SQL; IBM Rational Developer for i. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. This position will be hybrid in Moon Township, PA and candidates must live withina 50-mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
