Job summary

Nordic Naturals is seeking a senior Full-Stack Developer focused on frontend, implementing high-volume eCommerce workstreams across Shopify Plus, React, and NodeJS technologies. You will collaborate with a hybrid team across North America to deliver mobile-first, brand-aligned experiences, while also supporting backend tasks and tooling.

The role requires 3–6+ years of experience, strong React/Next.js skills, and expertise in front-end build tools, CI/CD, and Shopify development.

Qualifications

  • 3-6+ years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in React and Next.js (required).
  • Expert-level HTML/CSS and FE build tools (SASS/LESS, Vite, Webpack).
  • Deep experience with React ecosystems (Next, Remix, Fastify, Hydrogen).
  • Experience with Shopify development (Shopify CLI, Liquid templates, custom apps).
  • Git proficiency with branching/rebasing strategies and CI/CD awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Write organized, testable frontend code with inline documentation.
  • Translate user journeys into mobile-first UI adhering to brand standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and QA feedback cycles.
  • Generate documentation as part of deliverables.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum with Atlassian tools.

Job description

This Full-Stack Developer position will be part of the technical team responsible for the operation of multiple high-volume eCommerce websites using a combination of Shopify Plus, React/NodeJS/Typescript, CMS systems, custom Shopify apps, and various marketing and fulfillment tools. This is a senior level role that is frontend focused, but requires a breadth of knowledge and a general level of comfort with backend tools like git, AWS, shell operations, hosting solutions, database development with SQL/ORM, Docker, and others. The candidate should have an understanding of the software development lifecycle as a whole, and experience using the Atlassian tool set to build software as part of a team.

What We Look For
  • 3-6+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong expertise in React and Next.js (required)
  • Expert-level abilities in HTML/CSS and the associated FE build tools like SASS/LESS, Vite, Webpack, etc
  • Deep experience with ReactJS and React-based frameworks like Next, Remix, Fastify, and Hydrogen
  • Ability to use modern (AI-powered) development tools but also has not forgotten how to apply a critical eye to any piece of code in the codebase and also apply system-level thinking.
  • Advanced Shopify development experience - Shopify CLI, Shopify Liquid templates, custom Shopify application development, Shopify UI extensions, and Shopify functions
  • Advanced experience with git and an understanding of rebasing and branching strategies
  • Advance understanding of the principles driving CI/CD
  • Ability to think through and architect systems, then execute on building them end-to-end
  • Advance understanding of authentication using OAuth providers like Auth0, and cybersecurity principles in general
  • Basic experience with unit testing, functional testing, and monitoring
  • Basic understanding of enterprise CRM and ERP tools like Salesforce and SAP
