Job summary
Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 1 in Phoenix, AZ to contribute across the SDLC with Java and ReactJS expertise. The role involves interviewing stakeholders, designing software, coding, testing, and maintaining systems in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate with teams to deliver microservices, Kafka-based messaging solutions, and RESTful APIs, while leveraging Docker/Kubernetes for deployment and GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted development. Relocation may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; progressive experience may substitute for education.
- Experience with Java backend development and ReactJS is expected.
- US work authorization is required; relocation may be necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting interviews/workshops to capture user needs and document requirements.
- Participate in design discussions and help document software specifications.
- Develop, refine, and document code following design specs.
- Execute test plans, analyze results, and report defects to improve software.
- Support integration of new features and troubleshoot production issues.

- Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
- Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation.
- Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
- Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
- Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
- Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
- Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository
- An agile mindset with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work on majority of the areas as part of SDLC lifecycle

- Experience in Java-based backend development
- Experience in ReactJS programming
- Experience in microservices and event-driven architecture
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka
- Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Good Communication Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
