Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a strong backend and platform engineering focus to design, build, and optimize scalable, secure systems supporting mission-critical applications. This role emphasizes API design, microservices, data persistence, and operational excellence in a high-concurrency environment.

You will design and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implement containerized microservices with Kubernetes, manage databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and contribute to CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Developmental Labor Category: Minimum 1 year of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years with an Associate’s; or 3 years with a high school diploma or GED.
• Active/current TS/SCI with required polygraph
• Willingness to work onsite full time
• US citizenship required
• Strong experience with server-side development and API design (REST and GraphQL)
• Proven experience building and operating microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Expertise in schema design, query optimization, indexing, migrations, and high-volume data performance
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery
• Working knowledge of modern frontend technologies (JavaScript, React, or Lit) sufficient for close collaboration with UI teams
• Experience optimizing systems using caching, load balancing, and asynchronous processing techniques

Pay Transparency

To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $95,000.00 - $127,000.00 - $139,700.00 annually.
