Job description

Sensible Care is hiring a full-stack developer who will help us build and maintain our tele-therapy platform and native mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be a team player excited to join a group of like-minded, talented people who are inclusive, respectful, and thoughtful and who value fresh ideas and want to tackle hard problems.

If improving and enhancing the experience and access of our highly sought-after Behavioral Health Services sounds exciting and rewarding, we would love to talk to you! Our current tech stack uses Laravel (PHP) for the back end with a Postgres database. We use Vue for the front end on the web and Flutter for iOS and Android.

About You

You enjoy and take pride in all aspects of your projects from conception to solution and get as much satisfaction from continually improving something as you do from starting something new. You're able to take a set of project requirements — or even a well-described idea— and turn it into a working product without much assistance. You're interested in branching out to other areas and value the opportunity to do so. You're not intimidated by challenges and welcome the opportunity to participate in all phases of software development as needed. You're comfortable working cross-functionally with different teams and departments.

Responsibilities

The key responsibility of this position is to develop end-to-end solutions for our clients and for internal use. You will be working with a small group of developers and project leaders and join the team that is tasked with building and improving the systems that will support our continued growth and nationwide expansion.

  • Write front-end and back-end code and have a solid grasp of coding best practices
  • Use a framework to create performant, reliable HTTP-based APIs (such as Laravel)
  • Wire APIs to a modern front-end framework (we use Vue.js)
  • Employ third-party libraries and SDKs to extend the capabilities of first-party applications
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and understand the importance of testing
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot your systems in staging and production environments
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on, production-level software development experience, preferably with some or all of our tech stack
  • Experience with Flutter, and especially with Flutter bloc
  • Familiarity with git and understanding of the basics of CI/CD
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • A willingness to take initiative and ownership in a small-company environment
  • The ability to work remotely in an efficient manner
  • Healthcare or HealthTech industry experience is a plus, but not required
What We Offer
  • Excellent compensation including competitive salary + bonus
  • 401(k) account with contribution matching
  • Gym membership stipend
  • 15 vacation days, 5 sick days, and paid holidays annually
  • Health, Dental, and Vision coverage for you and your family
