Job summary

Bespoke Technologies is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to support a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services. This role requires strong Java coding, unit testing, and production deployments, with work performed on-site in Chantilly, VA.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend Java experience, Solr or Elasticsearch expertise (including schema updates and Lucene queries), and 3+ years in a big data environment using Hadoop, PySpark, Spark and HBase.

Qualifications

BT-220 – Full Stack Developer

Location: Chantilly, VA (fully on-site, no remote option)

Bespoke Technologies is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to support a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services. This role requires Java programming expertise with JUnit testing and experience with big data pipeline technologies such as Spark, Iceberg, HBase, and Snowflake.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not JavaScript or Spring Boot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment


• Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)

  • Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
  
  
  • Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, and HBase (prefer at least two of the list)


• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree

Optional Skills

• Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
