Full Stack Developer
Location: Rosslyn, Virginia (Hybrid – flexible telework; onsite approximately 2 days per 2-week period)
Clearance Requirements: Public Trust (US Citizenship required)

Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support modern, secure web applications in a highly collaborative, Agile environment. This role offers a blend of hands‑on development, cloud engineering, and enterprise tool administration, supporting complex analytical solutions and large‑scale data‑driven systems.
The ideal candidate is a well‑rounded engineer with strong front‑end and back‑end expertise, deep experience in Azure cloud environments, and advanced knowledge of Jira and Confluence automation. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, user‑focused applications that support mission‑critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full stack web applications supporting complex analytical use cases and large datasets
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and end users to translate requirements into high‑quality technical solutions
- Design and implement client‑side and server‑side architectures with an emphasis on scalability and security
- Build responsive, user‑friendly front‑end interfaces using modern UI frameworks
- Develop and integrate REST and gRPC APIs
- Administer, configure, and automate Jira Software Cloud and Confluence Cloud environments
- Develop advanced automation rules, JQL queries, and ScriptRunner (Groovy) solutions
- Manage Azure cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows
- Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication, SSO, and access controls
- Migrate legacy systems to modern cloud‑based architectures
- Produce technical documentation and support data governance initiatives
- Function effectively within Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to continuous improvement
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
- Professional certifications in web development, front‑end, or back‑end technologies
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- Strong experience with:
- HTML, CSS, TypeScript
- React, Angular, Node.js (front‑end frameworks)
- Flask, Django (back‑end frameworks)
- Apache (web server)
- Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (DevOps tools)
Atlassian & Automation Expertise
- Proven experience administering Jira Software Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and Atlassian Guard
- Advanced JQL and Jira configuration (workflows, schemes, fields, permissions)
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence automation, including external API integrations
- Strong hands‑on experience with ScriptRunner for Jira/Confluence Cloud using Groovy
Security & Identity
- SSO configuration
- Authentication policies and API credential management
Methodologies
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle best practices
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kafka, EventHub, WebSockets
- Familiarity with Databricks
- Knowledge of architectural patterns (Microservices, Monolith, Serverless)
- Experience supporting enterprise or government systems
- Exposure to PMO or Agile delivery support
