Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD to contribute to geolocation product lines, collaborating across UI, back-end, and full-stack domains within an agile DevOps environment. The role emphasizes Java development, SOA, microservices, and containerized deployments across platforms.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive Java experience, familiarity with microservices, and database knowledge (MongoDB/MySQL), plus Python development. A TS/SCI w/FS P clearance is required.

Job description

This team is charged with developing elements of IC geolocation product lines that address operational requirements from the warfighter. With this team, you’ll be exposed to multiple discipline areas such as UI, front-end, back-end, and/or full stack development. You will work across teams to integrate capabilities into various platforms including containers. Using agile scrum and DevOps methodologies, you’ll gain experience with the full product lifecycle for cutting-edge geolocation capabilities.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 0800-1600

Clearance Required:

TS/SCI w FSP

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Minimum Years of Experience:

(U) Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Java development IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code)
• Experience with agile development practices
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience with Gitlab
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with geolocation applications and/or JICD
• Experience/knowledge of ISLANDTRANSPORT, messaging infrastructure
• Exposure to/basic familiarity with Python libraries for scientific programming (examples: NumPy, pandas) desired
• Ability to read and write into/out of the data structures adjacent to complex mathematics

Salary Range: $215,000 - $238,000
