Job summary

MOTOR Information Systems, an operating group of Hearst, is actively seeking a Full-Stack Data Engineer to design, optimize, refactor, and upgrade complex data solutions. The role focuses on supporting the Insights-based product suite and driving the data platform forward across product lines.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, AWS, Databricks, Kubernetes, and DevOps tooling to transform raw data into actionable insights for customers.

Qualifications

• Expert Python developer with strong SQL experience.
• Proficient in AWS services including Lambda, Glue, and Redshift.
• Experience with semi-structured data (XML, CSV, JSON, Parquet).
• Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, notebooks.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, Octopus Deploy.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and data handling tools.
• Experience with Pandas/NumPy, Apache Spark, Ray.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex data sets.
• Design, develop and coordinate the generation of Data Pipelines.
• Work collaboratively with team to plan and solve complex problems.
• Design for, or optimize existing pipelines, for performance and cost.
