Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support data platforms for News web, mobile, and internal products. You will build and maintain data models, contribute to production data pipelines, and deliver high-quality datasets powering reporting and analytics.

Join a modern analytics engineering stack (dbt, Databricks, AWS) with focus on code quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement; experience with PySpark, CI/CD, and dimensional modeling is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as analytics engineer, data engineer, or data analyst with strong engineering focus.
  • Strong SQL proficiency with advanced querying and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS).
  • Experience with Databricks and PySpark.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling and medallion architecture.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and deliver high-quality datasets.

Join one of the world’s largest digital media organizations as an Analytics Engineer supporting data platforms for News web, mobile, and internal products. This role sits at the intersection of analytics and engineering. You’ll contribute to building and maintaining data models, supporting production data pipelines, and delivering high-quality datasets that power reporting, analysis, and downstream systems. Our team operates in a modern analytics engineering stack (dbt + Databricks + AWS) with strong emphasis on code quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We also incorporate AI-assisted development into our workflow in a structured and intentional way. Responsibilities include Data Modeling and Transformation, Production Pipeline Contribution, SQL & Data processing, Problem solving and analysis, collaboration, quality and standards.

Skills and Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a data professional (Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst with strong engineering focus)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced querying, performance optimization, data modeling)
  • Hands-on experience with DBT (required)
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Unity Catalog, or similar)
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces and driving solutions forward
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with PySpark or similar distributed processing frameworks
  • Experience working with CI/CD workflows for data (GitHub Actions or similar)
  • Familiarity with dimensional modeling and medallion architecture
