Job summary

Cavaliers Holdings LLC is hiring a Full-Stack Data Engineer to design and own data pipelines feeding our analytics warehouse and applications. You will build end-to-end systems from pipeline to UI used by business teams, balancing build and buy decisions to ship value.

Your work spans orchestration, dbt modeling, APIs, and internal tooling, with a hands-on approach across data, backend, and frontend components. Equal opportunity employer; compensation varies by experience.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in data engineering and backend development in production.
• Strong dbt experience with end-to-end project ownership.
• Deep SQL fluency; relational DBs like PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
• Experience building data pipelines, orchestration, retries, observability.
• Built applications or services used by non-engineers in production.
• Proficiency with Python for pipeline logic and glue code.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.
• Frontend/UI exposure for internal tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production data pipelines feeding our Aurora PostgreSQL warehouse and downstream analytics
• Own dbt models end-to-end: sources, staging, marts, tests, documentation
• Improve pipeline reliability: monitoring, alerting, incident response, root-cause analysis
• Build and maintain internal applications, APIs and integrations for business teams
• Integrate with vendor systems and third-party APIs
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into shipped systems
• Choose build vs buy vs configure; contribute to tooling and architecture
• Write change notices, code reviews, and documentation
