Job summary

Cavaliers Holdings LLC is hiring a Full-Stack Data Engineer to join a small, high-trust team building systems that fuel decisions across the organization. You will design and own data pipelines that feed our warehouse and downstream applications, enabling business users to access data through practical interfaces.

You will move between pipeline work and application work, building APIs, integrations, and tools used by marketing, sales, and BI groups.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on engineering in data and application/backend development.
• Deep SQL fluency with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Experience designing and operating data pipelines with observability and retries.
• Experience building internal apps, APIs, or services used by non-engineers.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools in daily practice.
• Exposure to sports/entertainment data models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production data pipelines to feed warehouse and analytics.
• Own dbt models from sources to marts and tests.
• Improve pipeline reliability with monitoring and incident response.
• Build/internal applications, APIs, and integrations for business teams.
• Integrate vendor systems and third-party APIs to move data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into shipped systems.
• Make informed build/buy/configure decisions to deliver end-to-end value.
• Contribute to platform decisions and documentation.
