Job summary

Collectiv, a leading analytics and AI consulting firm, seeks a Full Stack Data & Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and BI delivery for enterprise clients. You will design lakehouse architectures on Fabric/Databricks, build ETL pipelines, and deliver complex Power BI reports, serving as a trusted technical advisor across data platforms and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years combined experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, and/or BI consulting.
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including complex data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and analytical query design.
• Experience designing analytics data models (star schemas, semantic models, lakehouse patterns).
• Proven track record in a client-facing consulting role, working independently and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication style; data-filled, precise, and client-ready.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using ELT/ETL.
• Develop scalable lakehouse architectures that support analytics, reporting, and downstream data products.
• Translate business requirements into technical data models (star schemas, semantic models).
• Write, optimize, and tune SQL and Spark-based transformations for large-scale workloads.
• Apply version control, CI/CD concepts, and code review standards to data engineering workflows.
• Design and implement complex data models in Power BI, including enterprise-grade semantic layers.
• Create interactive reports and dashboards that drive client decisions.
• Develop and peer-review DAX formulas for performance at scale.
• Integrate data from diverse sources into Power BI and data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and usability across the analytics platform.
• Enable self-service analytics by delivering trusted datasets and dashboards to client teams.
• Gather requirements, communicate concepts to clients, and manage expectations.
