Job summary

Custom Health in Morrisville, NC seeks a talented Full Stack Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop, document and maintain scalable cloud-based applications powering our medical device ecosystem. You will work in a fast-paced agile team, delivering robust software in a regulated environment.

You will use React on the frontend and Node.js on the backend, manage MySQL and NoSQL data stores, design RESTful APIs, and ensure cloud security and ISO/HIPAA compliance throughout the software

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend: Extensive experience building scalable services in Node.js.
• Frontend: Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Data: Experience with MySQL and at least one NoSQL database (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• APIs: Expert knowledge of RESTful API design.
• Mindset: Ability to break down complex technical problems into logical solutions and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design and implement robust, high-performance web apps with React frontend and Node.js backend.
• Database Management: Architect and optimize MySQL and NoSQL data stores.
• API Design: Build RESTful services and integrate cloud with embedded software.
• Test Automation: Develop test automation for new features.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy cloud-native solutions with high availability and security.
• Security: Implement IAM, encryption, and certificate management.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex architectural bottlenecks.
• Compliance & Quality: Align software with ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and HIPAA.
