Job summary

Disney is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join the Payments and Accounting Technology team in Orlando, FL. You will build and maintain APIs and services for internal and external-facing applications, using AWS, Java, Angular, and Node.js in a modern cloud-based environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure test coverage, and contribute to scalable, reliable solutions while embracing Agile practices and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in software development.
• Full stack engineer with cloud, API, and UI capabilities.
• Angular (components, RxJS, state management).
• Node.js (Express/NestJS).
• Java 17+, microservices, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
• AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• UI and API testing (JUnit, Postman).
• Strong debugging skills and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain APIs and services for internal and external-facing applications.
• Develop and support cloud-enabled applications (AWS).
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with test coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Implement front-end features in coordination with backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Support and troubleshoot existing systems to maintain uptime and releases.
