Job description

Wormhole Labs is a pioneering blockchain technology company building decentralized systems for a freer and fairer global economy. We're reshaping financial infrastructure across the entire crypto stack, from core protocol development to trading systems and user-facing applications.

At our core, we're technology innovators bridging traditional finance with the emerging possibilities of crypto. Our seasoned team leverages deep technical expertise to develop solutions that advance the industry. We're seeking talented individuals who share our vision, and have the technical prowess to help build it — join us!

As a Full-Stack Blockchain Engineer at Wormhole Labs, you will make significant contributions to Wormhole’s ecosystem of products, including smart contracts and protocols on multiple chains (EVM, Solana, Sui, Aptos, etc.), Wormhole’s validator (a.k.a. Guardian) software, and tooling to support multichain development. You will either driver or partner with domain experts on the entire lifecycle of product development.

What you will do
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and security review of products within the Wormhole ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into code.

  • Follow best practices for secure product development and build future best practices alongside Wormhole security researchers.

  • Stay up to date with the latest in smart contract tooling, AI development tools, best practices, and industry trends.

The ideal candidate will
  • Have built distributed systems used by millions of users at companies of all sizes.

  • Have deep experience with Go or Rust. TypeScript experience is also valuable.

  • Be high agency and effect the outcomes they wish to see.

  • Care deeply about the business outcomes of your work and challenge priorities when the business impact is unclear.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent practical experience will also be taken into consideration.

We provide
  • Competitive salary and restricted token units, dependent on position type and location.

  • Unlimited time off, healthcare premium reimbursement, and 401K.

  • Top-of-the-line MacBook Pro laptop.

  • Flexibility of working from wherever you have work authorization, as long as you can work 10-6PM US Eastern Time. We minimize unnecessary meetings, but building decentralized systems requires synchronous communication.

Note: This is a senior-level role. We will only respond to applicants that meet our requirements. If we don’t respond, please assume a polite decline for now.
