Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Digital Product Development team in a hybrid role with 3 days onsite in the US. You will design, develop, and maintain backend RESTful APIs and web frontends supporting web, mobile, and external-facing experiences.

You will collaborate across teams, optimize SQL databases and ensure API security while working in Agile sprints to deliver high-quality features. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer or API Engineer.
• Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and web frontends, with React preferred.
• Strong SQL and relational DB experience; knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend RESTful APIs and web frontends.
• Architect and optimize SQL databases with indexing and migrations.
• Maintain API security with authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and secure design.
• Create clear API documentation and enforce consistent API design standards.
• Collaborate with product leaders, frontend engineers, and mobile developers on API contracts.
• Contribute to standardized web component frameworks and UI experiences.
• Work in Agile sprint teams to deliver new and enhanced digital capabilities.
• Support backend data workflows and lightweight ETL processes.
