Job summary

Citi is seeking a Digital Software Engineer Analyst (SDE) to join a SCRUM team delivering customer-facing banking features on digital channels. You will participate in all SDLC stages from requirements analysis through post-production support, using Angular and Java Spring Boot, and applying BDD testing practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with onshore and offshore teams, adherence to SDLC standards, and leveraging AI tools to improve coding and testing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
• 2–5 years of experience in full-stack/Angular development and/or testing in a professional environment.
• Basic familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) concepts.
• Exposure to cloud-based development platforms such as OpenShift is desirable.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Eagerness to learn, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate application designs into code across Angular and Java Spring Boot services, with guidance from seniors.
• Leverage AI tools to assist with code generation, refactoring, and debugging tasks.
• Develop and maintain BDD automated and manual test scripts; execute and record results.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate unit test creation, API scaffolding, and frontend components.
• Participate in SDLC across development, integration, and E2E testing within a CI/CD environment.
• Write secure, maintainable code and take ownership of features.
• Build and maintain feature documentation and develop subject matter expertise.
• Analyze root causes for issues and collaborate with team to triage defects.
• Contribute to SDLC control processes and continuous improvement ideas.
• Perform functional validations including ADA accessibility testing.
