Job summary

Traversal is seeking a Full-Stack AI Engineer to own core product surfaces powered by our AI Site Reliability Engineer. You’ll work across the stack from UI to backend and data infrastructure, delivering reliable, production-grade features.

You’ll partner with product, AI researchers, and infra engineers to build real-time incident detection and automated remediation in complex production environments, shaping architecture and delivering scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building and operating complex full-stack systems in production
• Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
• Experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience designing and operating scalable backend services and APIs
• Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS with ECS or Kubernetes
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and distributed storage systems
• Strong product instincts and the ability to translate capabilities into user-facing features
• Ability to operate in early-stage startup environments with high ownership

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end development of core product capabilities and translate AI-driven insights into workflows
• Design scalable architectures spanning frontend, backend, and data infrastructure
• Develop high-performance APIs and service layers for seamless AI-system integration
• Create interactive UIs for exploring operational data and workflows
• Design data storage and processing strategies for large-scale data
• Collaborate to operationalize AI model outputs in production pipelines
• Influence engineering direction and best practices across the codebase
