Excellent communication skills and health-literacy awareness are essential. The position requires Indiana medical licensure, board certification or eligibility, DEA/SEA, and CPR certification, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Indiana M.D. license and board certification or eligibility.
• DEA and SEA certification required.
• CPR certification required; CPR certified physicians preferred.
• Residency training completed as part of physician qualifications.
• Travel may be required to HealthNet sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic care to HealthNet and Methodist Hospital patients.
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation of patient care and education.
• Lead daily rounds and supervise residents and other staff as assigned.
• Participate in provider performance audits and quality assurance activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, addressing health literacy and questions.
