Middlesboro ARH Hospital, part of Appalachian Regional Healthcare, delivers approximately 400 births annually, with the opportunity to grow to 500. Serving a multi‑state Appalachian population (Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia), providers have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in a community with real maternal health needs and limited access to care.
Hazard ARH Medical Center supports approximately 300 annual births, maintaining low C‑section and episiotomy rates. In 2026, the facility opened six state‑of‑the‑art birthing suites and is continuing to invest heavily in maternity care. A Level II NICU has been available at Hazard ARH since its opening.
Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center delivers nearly 500 babies and performs almost 400 GYN surgeries annually, supported by 24/7 anesthesia and a Level 2 NICU. OB/GYNs thrive in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment with strong support across multiple departments. The clinic is conveniently located across the street from the hospital, and the facility includes 6 LDRs, 2 dedicated cesarean section ORs, and continuous general surgery coverage.
