Part Time Counter Sales Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for assisting walk-in customers, answering customer phone calls, identifying correct part numbers, stocking freight on shelves, processing orders from phone or internet, and helping in day-to-day operations of the store. The Counter Sales Representative executes sales functions including creating invoices, taking payments, updating sales floors, and deliveries in the area. This position reports to the Store Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist customers at the counter with their questions and provide effective resolutions.
  • Treat all customers with respect and courtesy.
  • Record customer details and orders in the computer, ensuring retrieval when needed.
  • Stay updated with product inventory and functionality.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding relevant procedures and policies.
  • Check the quality of products received in the warehouse and verify against orders.
  • Organize products in the warehouse according to their location.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles as required.
  • Receive and stock nightly freight in a timely manner.
  • Update sales floor with monthly sales flyers and new price tags.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and co-workers.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring clear aisles and walkways.
  • Answer customer inquiries over the phone regarding orders or part information.
  • Maintain the sales floor by arranging new planograms as distributed.
  • Perform deliveries as needed.
  • Rotating Saturdays required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Automotive parts knowledge required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
