Job summary

Karla R McDonald DDS LLC is hiring aDental Hygienist to perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, SRP, and related procedures in a Wisconsin clinic. You will assess periodontal health, take radiographs, and educate patients on preventive care to support long-term oral health.

You will collaborate with the Doctor, maintain thorough records, and follow OSHA/HIPAA protocols while providing high-quality care in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Satisfy Wisconsin RDH licensing requirements.
• CPR certification and authorization for local anesthetic and nitrous oxide as applicable
• Strong periodontal assessment and instrumentation skills
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality of care
• Experience with practice-management and digital imaging software
• Commitment to continuing education and professional growth

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling & root planing according to periodontal protocols
• Perform periodontal assessments, charting, oral cancer screenings, radiographs, and intraoral photography
• Administer local anesthetic and provide local chemotherapeutic and laser therapy as prescribed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, nutrition, and prevention
• Build trusting relationships while ensuring patient comfort and reducing anxiety
• Collaborate with the Doctor to identify clinical findings and develop patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards
• Prepare for each day by reviewing charts, participating in daily huddles, and maintaining an efficient schedule
• Support recare and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RDH license
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene
