Responsibilities include full-cycle payroll, audits, regulatory compliance, leave management, benefits enrollment, and employee records maintenance. Prior HR/payroll experience is preferred, with certifications a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years in an HR administrative, payroll, benefits, or people operations role that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
• College-level coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Related certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, PHR/PHR- Ca, SHRM-CP) are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Leads the full-cycle payroll process, including bi-weekly payroll, data review, and approvals.
• Audits payroll for accuracy and coordinates with accounting for tax filings and general ledger coding.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Acts as first point of contact for HR inquiries and escalates complex issues as needed.
• Manages onboarding/offboarding workflow, including IT provisioning and notifications.
• Administers leaves of absence and coordinates with payroll on pay treatment and documentation.
