Job summary

Future Elder (Fe) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Tech to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, payroll processing, and financial reporting coordination.

This role works closely with Future Elder’s CEO, contracted CPAs, and our Accounting Assistant to keep our books accurate, ensure the billing cycle stays on track, and ensure that our financial practices are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or full-cycle finance.
• Agency or professional services experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Workamajig or similar PM/financial software preferred.
• Experience processing payroll through Rippling or a comparable payroll platform.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and standard financial reporting practices; proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Record transactions in ledgers using project/financial management software.
• Review ledgers for accuracy and correct errors.
• Reconcile accounts and compare bank information with internal records.
• Issue invoices and manage AR/AP; coordinate with CPA offices on quarterly financials.
• Administer payroll and maintain tax deductions; ensure compliance with GAAP.
