Job description

Since our founding in 2017, we have achieved considerable growth, establishing ourselves as a key player in the soy candle market nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Management Team. This individual will play a key role in enhancing our efficiency in Fulfillment while fostering a positive team environment. If you have a strong manufacturing management background and experience in leading teams, we invite you to bring your expertise to Calyan and help us continue our exciting growth journey.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Order dispatch management
  • Receiving and facilities management
  • Warehouse inventory management¯
  • Labor forecast management
  • Fulfillment and warehouse process management (SOPs)

Duties:

  • Staff Management
    • Setting employee schedules that serve department needs.
    • Managing time off requests.
    • Holding employees accountable to employee policies – verbal/written employee corrective action.
    • Quarterly performance reviews with each staff member.
    • Clear communication with Fulfillment and Warehouse team on how, what, and when.
    • Fostering an empowering and motivating culture within the department.
    • Assisting in interviews for new staff members.
  • Labor Forecast
    • Maintaining labor/dispatch forecasts based on up-to-date CPHs and volume of units needing dispatched each month.
    • Advising COO on additional labor hours needed.
  • Order Dispatch Management
    • Setting weekly and monthly fulfillment output plans.
    • Ensuring all open orders are shipped on time.
    • Collaborating with Production Manager on processing Amazon inventory requests.
    • Scheduling outbound freight.
    • Ensure on-time pick up/delivery based on information from sales department.
    • Ensuring notifications to appropriate departments on shipment pick up confirmations.
    • Maintaining an organized filing of copies of signed packing slips/BOL for future reference.
    • Processing distributor chargebacks.
    • Ensuring quick handling of lost/broken package/returns & managing claims with carriers to receive reimbursements.
  • Inventory Management
    • Ensuring all receiving processes are followed.
    • Ensuring all inventoried items are counted monthly and necessary adjustments complete.
    • Collaboration with Purchasing Manager on quantities of shipping supplies needed.
    • Reconciling Amazon finished good and Amazon shipping supply inventory counts monthly.
    • Adjusting out used shipping supplies monthly based on sales reports.
  • Facility Management
    • Ensuring company facilities represent
      Calyan’s commitment to excellence.
  • Data Management/Reporting
    • Tracking misship/broken shipments and costs associated.
    • Filling out department scorecard.
  • SOP Management
    • Ensuring SOPs (including printed copies) are up to date.
    • Making changes as more efficient methods are discovered in collaboration with your teams.

Hours:

  • Preferred start date - February 2025
  • 40 hours/week
  • Position is on site at our Arlington, TX facility

Starting Salary:

  • $75,000 – 105,000
  • Compensation will be based on experience level
