Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring for Warehouse Associates in Columbus, Ohio. These roles offer weekly pay with a $1 per hour premium for second shift, plus on-the-job training and a safety-focused work environment.

Positions involve operating RF scanners and various forklifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, data entry into the WMS, and teamwork to ensure efficient, accurate order fulfillment in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) including battery changes and basic maintenance.
• May operate manual/automated other warehouse equipment (e.g., packaging line).
• Powered industrial truck certification required.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and ensure scans are accurate.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and ensure shift security.
• Perform picking and packing duties and check for product damage.
• Carry out tasks per location policies and procedures, including material handling.
• Maintain housekeeping and participate in team activities to improve operations.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $17.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working second shift
• Schedule: Second Shift Sunday-Thursday 5:00 pm - 1:30 am, weekends as needed for OT

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
• Participate in workgroup and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
• Performs other duties as assigned
