Job summary

Saddle Creek Logistics Services is seeking a capable leader to manage a team of hourly associates in Walton, KY. The role focuses on directing daily warehouse operations, meeting client supply chain needs, and driving KPI performance in a busy environment.

You will coach, train, and mentor staff, conduct annual reviews, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience with a track record of implementing and managing change.
• Strong listening, collaboration, and motivational skills.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making to overcome obstacles.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment and exceed goals.
• Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and cross-training capabilities.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Assist clients with supply chain needs and demands of their orders.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and cost-control measures.
• Maintain exceptional customer service by achieving KPIs for the area.
• Monitor KPI performance, promote LEAN principles, and drive process improvements.
• Provide clear direction, communicate goals, and recognize successes to the team.
• Coach and mentor associates to grow and develop; conduct annual performance reviews.

Location: Walton, KY

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

What You Will Do

• Manage and lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse team environment
• Assist our wide range of clients with the needs and demands of their supply chains
• Ensure acceptable levels of performance in assigned business unit by meeting or exceeding
• productivity standards and cost control management
• Ensure exceptional customer service by meeting key performance indicators (order fill rate accuracy, unannounced inspections, inventory accuracy, etc.) for assigned area of responsibility
• Achieve performance goals through KPI monitoring, promote LEAN principles, and process improvement
• Lead and maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment. Meet or exceed SCLS corporate safety goals
• Effectively communicate goals, expectations, areas for improvement, and successes to associates
• Coach, train, and mentor associates allowing them the opportunity to grow and develop
• Conduct annual performance reviews

Our ideal candidate will have…

• 2+ years of previous experience in a leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing change
• Listening skills and strong abilities to collaborate, communicate and motivate others to accomplish goals
• Demonstrated success in problem-solving and decision-making to overcome obstacles and maximize opportunities
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while focusing on exceeding operational goals
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, agility, and ability to be cross-trained to do more where needed
• High school diploma/GED required

It’s not required, but it would be even better if you have…

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement training and experience
• Supply chain/logistics experience is a plus but not required
• Technical savvy (intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job-specific software applications
