The Pharmacy Hub in Miami Gardens is hiring a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician for our high-volume onsite fulfillment center. You will assist pharmacists by selecting, scanning, verifying, and preparing prescription orders under supervision.

This role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, teamwork, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Onsite shifts include morning, afternoon, and overnight, with full-time hours and a benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prescription Order Fulfillment: retrieve medications from inventory and verify details.
  • Scanning and Verification: use barcode technology to scan and confirm information.

  • Inventory Management: monitor stock levels and report expirations or shortages.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: follow SOPs and HIPAA guidelines.

Position Overview

The Pharmacy Hub is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician to join our high-volume pharmacy fulfillment center. Under the supervision of a Lead Technician, you will play a key role in accurately and efficiently processing prescription orders. Your responsibilities will include medication selection, scanning, verification, and preparation for final pharmacist review. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional accuracy, regulatory compliance, and a strong sense of teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Prescription Order Fulfillment

  • Accurately retrieve medications from inventory based on prescription details.
  • Verify medication name, strength, dosage form, and quantity.
  • Perform visual checks to ensure product accuracy and integrity.

Scanning and Verification

  • Use barcode technology to scan and verify medications.
  • Confirm all scanned information matches the prescription.
  • Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to the Lead Technician or Shift Supervisor.

Workflow and Order Processing

  • Prioritize orders according to urgency and shift goals.
  • Place verified medications into designated bins or totes for final review.
  • Maintain accurate order tracking in the pharmacy system.

Inventory Management

  • Return excess or unused medications to inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels and request replenishments as needed.
  • Report expired, damaged, or low-stock items to supervisors.

Compliance & Quality Control

  • Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support quality assurance and suggest workflow improvements when identified.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists, lead technicians, and team members.
  • Assist others to meet shift goals and ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in onboarding or training of new staff, when requested.

Workplace Maintenance

  • Keep workstations clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Dispose of medication waste according to safety protocols.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with scanning systems.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs and manage totes/bins.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or fulfillment setting.
  • Familiarity with prescription processing and inventory systems.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and pharmacy procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment & Demands

Environment:

  • Fast-paced, high-volume fulfillment center.
  • Clean, organized, and climate-controlled with background equipment and conversation noise.
  • Use of PPE may be required depending on the task.

Cognitive Demands:

  • High attention to detail with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, solve problems, and elevate issues.
  • Effective time management to meet fulfillment goals.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing and walking for up to 8-12 hours.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 15 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity for small item handling and use of scanners and computers.
  • Repetitive motion tasks such as sorting, counting, and scanning.

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week). This is a 100% onsite role; remote or hybrid work is not available

Work Schedule: Possible shifts:

Miami Gardens: Morning shift, Afternoon shift, Overnight.

Davie location: Morning shift, Afternoon shift (6am - 7pm), no overnight shifts are available.

Pay Range: $18 USD - $22 USD
