Join a fast-paced, patient-focused pharmacy setting where innovation meets personalized medicine. We are looking for a Fulfillment Staff Pharmacist for a specialty compounding pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 13-week contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent role. You ll play a key role in ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant preparation and delivery of customized medications, while supporting a high-volume operation.
This is the ideal opportunity for pharmacists who enjoy combining clinical care with operational oversight. You ll be hands-on in fulfillment, patient counseling, and compounding compliance while maintaining a steady workflow and guiding pharmacy personnel throughout your shift.
Schedule:
Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00am 4:30pm
Strong attendance and punctuality are critical in this role
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and support fulfillment operations across all areas of the pharmacy
Verify compounded and prescription medications for accuracy, dosage, and compliance
Assist with the packaging, shipping, and processing of patient-specific medications
Provide direct patient counseling and education on OTC and prescription products
Review patient medication histories and build individualized therapeutic care plans
Monitor for potential drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and dosing accuracy
Maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and pharmacy protocols
Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
Recent retail pharmacy experience required
Experience with non-sterile and/or sterile compounding required
Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and attention to detail
New graduates are welcome if all required qualifications are met
