Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, including OptumRx, seeks a Fulfillment Pharmacist in Arizona to perform prescription fulfillment and QA. The role supports a team-driven environment with emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and patient wellness.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharmacist license in good standing in Arizona with 1+ year of licensure experience and proficiency in MS Office and Outlook. Shifts are Monday–Friday with some additional hours and weekend flexibility.

Qualifications

• Arizona Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 1+ year licensed pharmacist experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and Windows.
• Willing or able to work the designated shift and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and prescription data entered into the pharmacy computer system for accuracy.
• Oversees the activities of pharmacy technicians and inventory personnel.
• Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards.
• Work in the fulfillment area to provide the final quality check prior to medication being packed and shipped.
• Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Conforms with and supports department quality assurance and improvement guidelines.
• Lift totes 5 -10 lbs.
• Basic understanding of robotic automation.
• Position is primarily working in a standing / walking environment.

As a Fulfillment Pharmacist you will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. You will have a direct impact on the lives of our members regarding medications and overall wellness. What makes your pharmacy career greater with OptumRx? The ideal candidate will have the ability to work 40 hours a week, during initial hours of operation, which are Monday - Friday between 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM, plus occasional additional hours as needed and weekend flexibility.

Required Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Arizona


• 1+ years of experience working as a licensed Pharmacist


• Proven ability to navigate MS Office and a Windows based environment and the ability to create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word


• Proven ability to navigate Outlook and conduct Internet searches


• Willing or ability to work the designated shift and flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Willing or ability to obtain additional state licensure, if necessary


• 3+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in retail pharmacy, a hospital, or managed care setting


• 1+ years of experience working as a Pharmacist in a fulfillment and/or mail order environment


• PBM or Managed Care experience


• Leadership experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 - $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
