Job summary

Pregis in Elgin, IL, is seeking an Operator II to support the Mailer Production department on a 2-2-3 shift schedule. You will manage setup, run multiple machines, and help meet quality, budget, and delivery targets.

You will ensure safety, maintain equipment, perform inspections, and document production tickets for SAP reconciliation while supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced printing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a printing or bindery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bindery processes and equipment.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate teams.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication for coordinating with staff.
• Problem-solving to troubleshoot equipment.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift moderately heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Meet production goals and delivery deadlines while following KPIs.
• Ensure quality testing and adherence to customer specs.
• Oversee setup, operation, repair, and maintenance of fulfillment equipment.
• Enforce PPE policy and safety procedures.
• Fill daily performance tickets for SAP reconciliation.
• Participate in cross-functional process improvements.
