Job summary

Oregon Freeze Dry is seeking an experienced Fulfillment Supervisor to lead order processing and distribution operations at our Albany, Oregon facility. You will supervise staff across receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping, while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely shipments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fulfillment, familiarity with ERP systems, EDI processing, and a strong commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in Fulfillment operations with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry and general computer applications background.
• Experience with an ERP system preferred; SPS Commerce EDI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize personal and product safety and lead the team to meet safety goals.
• Provide daily direction and coaching to Order Fulfillment staff for safe, accurate workflows.
• Oversee and train staff across receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping and related tasks.
• Process and oversee small-parcel, international, and hazmat shipments with required software and procedures.
• Utilize M3 ERP to monitor inventory, allocations, and order picking; ensure ship dates are met.

You will get to:

• Prioritize personal and food safety as the highest objective, modeling safe behavior and actively leading the team in achieving company safety goals.
• Provide clear daily direction and coaching to employees supporting Order Fulfillment to ensure safe, accurate, and consistent workflow execution.
• Oversee and train staff in a wide range of warehouse functions, including transporting, storing, receiving, shipping, and preparing food and non-food products, equipment, and materials.
• Perform and support all tasks related to receiving, picking, packing, loading, and shipping orders while ensuring team pick-rate expectations are met.
• Process and oversee small-parcel, international, and hazmat shipments using required specialized software and procedures.
• Ensure shipments requiring special handling (e.g., SPS/EDI transactions and customer-specific coding or labeling) are completed accurately, along with all necessary documentation.
• Identify and reduce sources of shipment errors, including mispicks, mis-ships, and incorrect routing.
• Oversee and perform kitting, rework, and repack operations as required within the Distribution Center.
• Utilize the current ERP system, M3, to investigate inventory and allocation discrepancies and support accurate stock management.
• Utilize the current ERP system, M3, to monitor and prioritize order picking, ensuring shipments leave by the expected ship date.
• Collaborate effectively with DC Transportation Specialists, Clerks, and Carriers to ensure smooth operations and timely shipments.
• Communicate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and other teams across the organization.
• Support additional tasks or assignments in other functional areas as directed by the Order Processing Supervisor or Distribution Center Manager.
• Maintain warehouse conditions that meet or exceed USDA/FDA and customer-specific requirements, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
• Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and aligns with company policies and practices.
• Embody OFD's cultural values and align daily actions with department and company culture.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Generally, a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Fulfillment operations, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong background in data entry and general computer applications.
• Experience using an ERP system preferred.
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) order processing preferred (SPS Commerce system).
• Familiarity with various warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team.
• Knowledge of warehouse best practices, including picking methods and inventory rotations.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and requirements for warehouse environments.
• Strong communication and cross collaboration skills.
• Ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.
• Ability to troubleshoot order routing or system errors and elevate issues appropriately.
• Ability to obtain OFD Foods forklift certification required within 3 months (on-the-job training provided).
