PAE Government Services Inc. seeks an FHE Technician to install, maintain, repair, and inspect liquid fuel systems for airfields. The role covers pumps, valves, meters, and storage installations, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.
The candidate should have a high school diploma, 2–5 years in fuel systems, and relevant certifications. Expect challenging field work with varied weather and physical demands.
The FHE Technician installs, maintains, repairs, and adjusts pumps, control valves and meters, strainers and filters, water separators, and pipelines of liquid fuel systems for airfields. The role also includes maintaining bulk storage installations and conventional/unconventional refueling systems used in fuel storage distribution systems.
The role requires frequent walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling. Tasks include climbing ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, standing, bending, and working in cramped areas; lifting and carrying tools and equipment which may weigh over 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and the risk of electrical shock is common. Noise levels are usually moderate.
Safety – Employees are responsible for developing and maintaining a safe work environment, completing all training requirements, fulfilling self‑aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams.
Quality – Employees must conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts, ensuring services meet customer expectations.
Procedure Compliance – Employees must read, understand and implement general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.
