Position Summary

The Fuel Transportation Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of fuel products to designated destinations, ensuring full compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, safety standards, and company policies. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and professionalism when representing the company with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Safely operate fuel delivery trucks to transport fuel to assigned locations.
  • Load and unload fuel products following all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Verify delivery accuracy and maintain thorough records of all fuel transfers.
  • Ensure tanks, hoses, and valves are properly connected and secured during deliveries.
  • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
  • Report maintenance needs or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the truck and equipment.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations governing transport of hazardous materials.
  • Follow company safety procedures, including PPE.
  • Remain alert to hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain current medical and DOT certifications.
  • Interact professionally with customers, resolving inquiries.
  • Represent the company positively through communication and conduct.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Accurately complete delivery logs, fuel tickets, and required documentation.
  • Maintain driver and vehicle records per DOT regulations.
  • Submit all paperwork timely and organized.
  • Be trained to respond to emergency situations on duty.
  • Follow emergency and spill containment procedures.
Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience required.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
  • Previous experience in fuel delivery or petroleum transport strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safe fuel handling and spill prevention practices.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy hoses, tire chains, and related delivery equipment.
  • Exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment for extended periods of time.

Shift Schedule
