Job summary

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services is hiring a full-time Fuel Transload Equipment Operator at our Redding facility. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, pay close attention to detail, and work well with little supervision.

Responsibilities include hands-on operation of petroleum equipment, load/unload procedures, and accurate paperwork. Emphasis on safety and customer relations with drivers and dispatchers is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math and counting comprehension.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with email.
• Knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies and unusual situations.
• Excellent communication with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Operate petroleum loading/unloading equipment and related heavy equipment.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and team members.
• Follow loading/unloading procedures and company policies.
• Submit paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain equipment in good condition and prevent misuse.

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services is hiring a full-time Fuel Transload Equipment Operator for our Redding facility, working Monday through Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with strong attention to detail and a self-starter who works effectively with little supervision. Job duties also include working hands-on with petroleum equipment, including but not limited to tanks, hoses, meters, heavy-duty equipment, trailers, etc.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates basic math and counting comprehension.Possesses basic to intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with email.Knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus.Acts in alignment with the company’s Code of Ethics and Mission Statement.Able and willing to respond to emergencies, urgent, or unusual situations (e.g., spill/mix cleanups, fires, accidents, urgent customer demands, weekend, holiday, and overnight assignments).Remains calm and composed in demanding situations.Accepts constructive criticism without becoming defensive.Knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous when interacting with customers and suppliers.Maintains positive working relationships with drivers, dispatchers, and management.Receives instructions and orders courteously and efficiently.Willingly takes on special assignments or tasks as needed.Communicates clearly, concisely, and effectively with others.Handles company equipment with care, keeping it in good working condition and free from misuse, abuse, or rough treatment.Understands and follows all loading and unloading procedures, processes, and policies.Submits all required paperwork and documentation accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.Performs all assignments safely and efficiently, avoiding waste of time or company resources.Receptive and adaptable to changes in work dynamics.Required Skills/Experience:Participate in periodic training programs conducted by management personnel.Complete and retain all necessary equipment operator certifications.Compensation and Benefits:Pay ranges from $20-$28 per hourMedical/Dental/Life Insurance/401K MatchPaid Time OffPlus, more!All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screen.Valley Pacific is an equal opportunity employer.
