Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a maintenance-oriented technician to service fueling equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, clean and calibrate gasoline-related systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document actions for the team.

You will participate in training on new equipment, communicate needs, and contribute to safety and efficiency objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; related field acceptable.
• 3–5 years’ maintenance experience preferred; able to use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required; computer literacy in MS Office.

Job description

Essential Functions

Maintains fueling equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and maintaining gasoline related equipment; provides preventive maintenance. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Perform preventative maintenance and may include dispenser calibration. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Will be required to participate in training for existing and new equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for long periods of time.
• Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry.
• View computer monitor.
• Hear and speak via telephone.
• Reach forward and/or overhead.
• Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Required crouching and/or crawling.
• Able to use a ladder.

Working conditions inventory of the position includes: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range. The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas. Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance field or more preferred. Able to use hand/electric cart. Able to use power and hand tools. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities. Ability to work independently in high priority, confidential, demanding business environment. Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable as a driver. Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
