Job summary

ABS Fuel Systems (Lawrence, MA region) seeks a fuel tanker driver to deliver petroleum products to company-operated and wholesale locations. Responsibilities include maneuvering tanks at loading racks and terminals, and maintaining safety and compliance during deliveries.

The role requires a CDL A with hazmat/tanker endorsements, DOT medical cert, and the ability to pass drug/alcohol tests. Weekend/overtime work and competitive pay apply.

Qualifications

• Three or more years petroleum or propane delivery experience preferred.
• Valid CDL A with hazmat, tanker and air brake endorsements, TWIC.
• DOT medical certificate required.
• Ability to pass company drug and alcohol tests and a physical.

Responsibilities

• Drive and maneuver a fuel tanker to deliver petroleum products to company and wholesale locations.
• Operate loading racks and fuel terminals; load/unload as required.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts.
• Adhere to DOT, HazMat, OSHA and FMCSA regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Three or more years of petroleum or propane delivery experience preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, with hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements, TWIC card.
• Valid DOT medical certificate.
• Ability to pass company-provided drug test, alcohol test, and physical.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on call shifts.
• Experience with regulatory agency requirements (e.g., DOT, HazMat, OSHA, FMCSA).
• Licensing and certifications as applicable (e.g., CETP delivery modules for propane).
• Proficient in the use of Android tablets and web-based software applications.
• Ability to maneuver a tanker truck into position at loading racks, fuel terminals, and in and out of retail convenience locations.
• Must be able to work alone to complete each task and load required.

Compensation

Pay range based on experience is $35–$40 per hour (DOE), with overtime paid after 40 hours. We also offer a lucrative safety incentive bonus for eligible drivers. Come join the ABS Team and experience the difference yourself.

Additional Compensation & Incentives

• $1.50/hour premium for all weekend hours.
