Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a Fuel Systems Field Service Technician to support our network of commercial fueling locations. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fueling equipment while ensuring sites operate safely and in compliance with industry regulations.

You will serve as a key field representative, addressing customer questions and delivering an exceptional service experience. A valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 40% are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a field environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fueling equipment, including dispensers, card readers, site controllers, and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Replace parts and components as needed and coordinate complex repairs with vendors and service providers.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections of fueling locations to ensure equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and operational.
• Order, pick up, and install parts and materials required for maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of assigned fueling locations.
• Serve as a primary field representative of World Fuel at assigned fueling locations.
• Respond to customer questions, service requests, and equipment-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and communicate repair status, next steps, and resolution plans.
• Assist customers experiencing fueling or equipment-related issues.
• Build positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while supporting safe and reliable fueling operations.
• Support environmental, health, and safety programs across assigned locations.
• Interface with local, state, and federal agencies as needed during inspections and regulatory reviews.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations when required.
• Quickly assess and resolve equipment and operational issues to minimize downtime and customer impact.
