Job summary

Stefanini North America and APAC is seeking a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer to lead design, release, and APQP for fuel/tank modules and delivery components. The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers, vehicle programs, and testing labs to ensure robust fuel system design and production readiness.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET-accredited), and familiarity with Design Release/Component Engineer roles, APQP

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience (2–3+ years preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Experience as Design Release Engineer/Product Engineer/Component Engineer (not CAD-focused).
  • Experience with fuel systems (tanks, delivery modules, Urea/DEF tank systems).
  • Understanding of APQP processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, plan APQP and produce production release for Fuel Systems components.
  • Drive quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction, and efficiency initiatives; report status to management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal/external groups (vehicle program team, labs, CAE, supplier ops, manufacturing).
  • Support and drive quality initiatives related to fuel system components and assemblies.
