Job description

Title: Fuel Storage Tank Technician

Location: Orlando, Pensacola, Tampa, FL and more (must be able to travel up to 1000 miles a week as needed)

Compensation: $25-45/hr (DOE)

Requirements:

  • Ability to drive up to 1000 miles a week and conduct daily DVIR inspections.
  • Ability to adjust to field conditions and requirements.
  • Perform required monitoring certification, secondary containment, spill bucket testing, and vapor recovery testing and repairs per state requirements.
  • Submit daily work orders and project paperwork.
  • Occasional out-of-town stays are required.
  • Experience with UST/AST monitoring and fuel system maintenance equipment is required.

About: Service Technicians maintain and repair all refueling equipment for the petroleum industry, as well as commercial and municipal refueling facilities, marinas, and airports. The Technician will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory directives regarding storage and monitoring systems. They will work closely with client personnel as a company representative, perform maintenance and troubleshooting independently, and identify and document all compliance and non-compliance issues. The position requires efficiency, safety, ethical conduct, and professionalism. The Technician will also act as Job Site Safety Officer, implementing internal safety policies and ensuring jobs are completed timely and safely.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot UST/AST monitoring and fuel system maintenance equipment.
  • Possess current or prior ICC UST Service Technician certification.
  • Hold a 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or current 8-hour refresher course.
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and work through problems.
  • Understand and comply with complex regulatory requirements.
  • Read and interpret machine diagnostic reports.
