Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Fuel Station Manager to be the primary contact for customers and to oversee daily operations of the fuel station. You will train and supervise Fuel Station Clerks, manage merchandising adherence, and handle cash transactions and security procedures.

You will also ensure stock levels, coordinate deliveries, perform safety checks, and drive high-quality service across shifts. This role combines hands-on operations with people leadership in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
• Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of policies for operating Fuel Stations, such as hours of operation, workers required and their duties, and scope of operations.
• Changes signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
• Inventories stock daily. Writes fuel station order. Checks for completeness of order upon arrival.
• Receives gas deliveries as needed. Records fuel deliveries on Fuel Delivery sheet.
• Maintains cleanliness of fuel station area.
• Performs daily safety inspections of tanks and pumps, checking gaskets, cover lock, etc.
• May pump gasoline for customers.
• Transports absorbent material to drive up area to absorb and clean spills as needed.
• Restocks windshield washer fluid in pump side containers as needed.
• Rotates product and removes out of date product as needed.
• May pick up products in grocery store as needed and transport to Fuel Station area.
• Manages Fuel Station.
• Other duties as assigned.
