Job summary

Anderson Environmental Contracting, LLC is seeking an experienced Fuel Site Superintendent to lead field operations across our fuel-related construction projects. This is a working superintendent role combining on-site leadership with hands-on construction activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating crews, equipment, materials, and safety, while ensuring work aligns with plans and specs. Projects traverse the Pacific Northwest, with regular out-of-area travel and overnight assignments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in construction or fuel-system installs.
  • 2+ years in supervisory or field leadership roles.
  • Ability to read construction plans, specs, schedules.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/EPA and local regulations.
  • Willingness to travel across the Pacific Northwest.

Job description

Anderson Environmental Contracting, LLC (AEC) is seeking an experienced Fuel Site Superintendent to lead field operations within our Fuel-Related Construction Service Line.

This is a working superintendent position that combines on-site leadership with hands-on construction activities. The Site Superintendent is responsible for coordinating crews, equipment, materials, subcontractors, safety requirements, and project documentation while helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Projects are located throughout the Pacific Northwest, and regular out-of-area and overnight travel is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct field crews performing fuel-system construction, piping installation, and related activities.
  • Work alongside field personnel as needed to support production and successful project completion.
  • Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and other contract documents to establish work priorities and coordinate daily activities.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop work plans, schedules, cost estimates, and project execution strategies.
  • Assist with obtaining and evaluating quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
  • Coordinate the daily and weekly allocation of personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources.
  • Monitor field productivity, material usage, project costs, and schedule performance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely daily reports, safety inspections, cost records, and other required field documentation.
  • Update project schedules based on actual field conditions and work progress.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable safety requirements, regulatory standards, manufacturer specifications, and approved installation procedures.
  • Identify field challenges and coordinate practical solutions with the Project Manager and project team.
  • Operate heavy equipment when qualified and needed.
  • Promote a professional, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in construction, fuel-system installation, or a related industry.
  • At least two years of construction supervisory or field-leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of fuel-system construction and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, schedules, and related project documents.
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews, establish priorities, and maintain productivity.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on construction work when necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest, including overnight and extended out-of-area assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Mechanical, welding, pipefitting, or related trade experience.
  • Current welding, pipefitting, mechanical, or equipment-operation certifications.
  • Experience managing fuel-system installation, retrofit, repair, or decommissioning projects.
  • Experience tracking project costs, materials, schedules, and field productivity.
Preferred Licenses, Certifications, and Training

Preference may be given to candidates who currently hold one or more of the following:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with a current 8-Hour Refresher
  • Confined Space Entry training
  • Current respirator medical clearance and fit testing
  • ICC UST Installation/Retrofit Supervisor
  • ICC UST Decommissioning Supervisor
  • ODEQ-Licensed UST Installation/Retrofit Supervisor
  • ODEQ-Licensed UST Decommissioning Supervisor
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Forklift and scissor-lift operator certifications
  • Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead or Supervisor certification

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain multiple licenses, certifications, or training required for their assigned work.
