Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Portland, OR is seeking a Fuel Operations Technician to perform hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance at fuel storage facilities and ensure safe operations. You will adhere to safety standards and log fuel transactions as part of daily tasks.

The role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and a valid US driver’s license. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred).
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.
• Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination.
• Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures.
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, QC, and maintenance.
• Comply with the station’s attendance/tardiness standards.
• ATA 103 daily, weekly, monthly quality annual inspections documented daily, NFPA 407, IATA QC requirements.
