Job summary

Koda Energy in Shakopee, MN is seeking a Plant Helper to support cleaning and sanitation across the plant. Responsibilities include unloading biomass fuel, operating conveyors and pumps, and maintaining safe work practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to obtain a Minnesota Special Boiler Operator license. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Unload biomass fuel from trucks and load into hopper.
• Operate and maintain fuel handling equipment (chain/belt conveyors, bag houses, pumps).
• Maintain safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Record data (pressures, temperatures, flows) and perform trend analysis.
• Keep neat records (written and electronic).
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Koda Energy is looking for a Plant Helper to join our team in Shakopee Minnesota. The plant helper is responsible for cleaning and sanitation of the plant work areas.

You will be responsible for:

• Unloading biomass fuel from trucks and load fuel into the appropriate hopper
• Operating and maintaining fuel handling equipment such as chain conveyors, belt conveyors, bag houses, pumps, valves and air compressors
• Maintaining a safe work environment by using personal protective equipment, participate in safety training, follow safety procedures and adhering to all applicable SDSs
• Recording data such as pressures, temperatures and flows and perform trend analysis on data
• Maintaining neat and accurate records, both written and electronic
• Completing preventative and corrective maintenance items
• All other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Things you will need:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous experience using heavy wheeled equipment, such as skid steers and wheel loaders.
• Ability to become proficient at operating a front-end loader and bobcat
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule, planned and unplanned shutdowns and vacation relief
• Ability to work in adverse conditions such as extreme weather, at heights and confined spaces
• Ability to obtain a Special Boiler Operator’s license from the State of Minnesota
