The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is seeking a Chemical/Material Analyst 1 for the Tifton Fuel Laboratory. This entry-level position tests motor fuels, kerosene, diesel, jet fuels, and related products to ensure purity and performance per ASTM standards.

Located in the Tifton State Fuel Oil Laboratory, the role provides expert support under supervision, entering data into LIMS and assisting management and inspectors.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural sciences from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced degree in physical or natural sciences (preferred).

Mansioni

• Performs receiving, logging, visual inspection, and prepares samples to be processed.
• Performs analysis of gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, jet fuels, motor oils, diesel exhaust fluids, and all other petroleum-related products using methodologies established by ASTM.
• Collects and organizes lab testing data.
• Enters laboratory test data into the laboratory information system.
• Inspects laboratory facility and equipment for compliance and specifications.
• Maintains inventory supply of chemicals and daily consumables.

Formazione

Bachelor’s degree in physical or natural sciences
