Job summary

Signature Aviation in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Fuel Farm Technician to receive/dispatch jet fuel and related products, perform quality testing, inspections, and routine maintenance at the fuel storage facility. You will monitor tanks and pipelines and log fuel transactions while operating equipment safely in a busy aviation environment.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, legal authorization to work in the U.S., a valid state driver’s license, and PST training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, obtain an airport security badge, and be insurable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Successful completion of the Company’s PST training program.

Responsibilities

• Receive/dispatch jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipeline and/or trucks.
• Sample and test products for quality control; inspect and perform basic maintenance on facility and fueling systems.
• Support quality control with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at the storage facility.
• Transfer product; monitor tanks and pipelines to prevent spills and contamination.
• Conduct routine inspections per company, customer, government and industry standards.
• Prepare log entries of fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
