Job summary

Delta Western, LLC is seeking a Fuel Driver for rotational duties in Bethel, Alaska. The role combines dock and truck fueling responsibilities with a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off cycle, supporting vessels and ground transportation.

Responsibilities include safe fueling, delivering to various customers, submitting invoices, and performing vehicle inspections. CDL with X endorsement and safety credentials are required or obtained after hire; compensation reflects Alaska driving roles and benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred or equivalent.
• Valid Class B or A CDL with X endorsement.
• TWIC, Hazmat, Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate required.
• Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
• Must obtain SIDA Airport Badge.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide safe fueling services for vessels and customers.
• Prepare and deliver packaged products and lubricants, and process purchase orders.
• Deploy boom and maintain clean, organized dock and yard.
• Complete meter sheets and invoices; submit to office daily.
• Inspect hoses and equipment daily for damage and wear.
• Safely deliver fuel to home heating and commercial customers; ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any hazards.
• Maintain trucks and facilities in clean condition and assist with inventory tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings and communicate hazards to supervisors.

Job Summary:

Bethel, Alaska, 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off

The Fuel Driver role plays a meaningful role in ensuring safe and efficient fuel delivery to customers through both dock and/or truck operations. This position involves a combination of dock duties and/or truck driving responsibilities to meet customer fueling needs. This is rotational from Anchorage to Bethel.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Dock Duties (if applicable):
• Greet customers and provide safe fueling services for vessels, ensuring accurate fueling protocols are followed.
• Prepare and deliver packaged products and oil lubes to customers, completing purchase order requests accurately.
• Deploy boom as vital and maintain a clean and organized dock and yard.
• Complete meter sheets, invoices, and maintain timely submission to the office.
• Inspect hoses and equipment daily for damage, ensuring equipment is in optimal condition.
• Driver Duties:
• Safely deliver fuel to home heating customers, commercial customers, and other locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
• Complete invoices accurately and submit them to the office daily.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or concerns to supervisors to ensure safe delivery operations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking vehicle components and fluids.
• Other Duties:
• Maintain the professional appearance of trucks and facilities by performing vital cleaning tasks.
• Assist with various tasks related to inventory, warehouse assistance, and ground maintenance.
• Participate in safety meetings, promptly report injuries, spills, and property damage, and identify and communicate potential job hazards.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.
• If CDL with all endorsements was recently acquired, the company is willing to provide entry-level driver training experience.
• Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: Valid Class B or A CDL with X endorsement
• TWIC, Hazmat, Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate
• Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA AIRPORT BADGE
