Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of commercial driving experience or equivalent.
• CDL with X endorsement required; Hazmat and TWIC can be obtained after hire.
• Medical certificate and forklift certification can be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver fuel to docked vessels, home heating customers, and commercial locations.
• Complete invoices accurately and submit daily.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Maintain truck and dock area in clean, organized condition.
• Participate in safety meetings and report injuries or hazards promptly.

The Fuel Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel to customers through a combination of dock and truck operations, meeting their fueling needs effectively.

Job Functions

• Dock Duties (if applicable):
  • Greet customers and provide safe fueling services for vessels, ensuring proper fueling protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and deliver packaged products and oil lubes to customers, completing purchase order requests accurately.
  • Deploy boom as necessary and maintain a clean and organized dock and yard.
  • Complete meter sheets, invoices, and maintain timely submission to the office.
  • Inspect hoses and equipment daily for damage, ensuring equipment is in optimal condition.
• Driver Duties:
  • Safely deliver fuel to home heating customers, commercial customers, and other locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Complete invoices accurately and submit them to the office on a daily basis.
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or concerns to supervisors to ensure safe delivery operations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking vehicle components and fluids.
• Other Duties:
  • Maintain the professional appearance of trucks and facilities by performing necessary cleaning tasks.
  • Assist with various tasks related to inventory, warehouse assistance, and ground maintenance.
  • Participate in safety meetings, promptly report injuries, spills, and property damage, and identify and communicate potential job hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.
• If CDL with all endorsements was recently obtained, the company is willing to provide entry-level driver training experience.
• Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: Valid Class B or A CDL with X endorsement
• TWIC, Hazmat, Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
